When Miguel and I went to visit my sister-in-law in April, we went to Benny's Seafood Restaurant and tried their specialty Mofongo.
The food was really good

We had Mofongo Marinero, and Mofongo with Shrimp
Inside the Mofongo jar, it was filled with smashed fried plantains(see picture from wikipedia) at the bottom and topping with the choice of chicken, shrimp or seafood combination.I chose shrimp which the chef prepared with garlic with butter.
I love love fried planttais, also called tostones. The best tostones dish I love is in the resturant called Bahama Breeze. Their Tostones with chicken is off the hook.
